CONVENIENCE FEE INFORMATION
Convenience Fees
Convenience Fees are the enhanced access fees charged by Kentucky.gov - these fees include convenience, electronic access, or electronic delivery charges associated with electronic delivery of a record, or electronic filing of a transaction. The convenience fees are collected from the user on an individual transaction fee basis. The Kentucky Electronic Services Executive Committee approves the amount of the fee and the amount set is for the purpose of offsetting the costs associated with providing electronic services and operating the Commonwealth's eGovernment portal.

Kentucky.gov and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet online services offer you easy access and instant credit card payment for a variety of transactions. The online services are optional and are just one method of conducting business with the Commonwealth of Kentucky. You may continue to use traditional methods, such as the U.S. Mail or visiting Commonwealth offices in person. The choice is yours.

Fees - Not Tax Dollars
Kentucky.gov online services use a self-supporting public-private business model that provides not only for enhancements and for customer support of existing services, but also expansion to new online services. This is accomplished without using tax dollars. Kentucky.gov online services are supported through convenience fees assessed only to the users of the services. The fees are retained by a private company, Kentucky Interactive, Inc. to support the operation and continued development of future Kentucky.gov services.
